We experienced multiple cascading issues over the past 24 hours. Here's the timeline:
Yesterday 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM CET: Our primary data source experienced an outage. Our automatic failover to a secondary source activated, but we quickly reached rate limits on that backup system.
Around 7:30 PM CET: We encountered elevated 429/424 rate limit errors from the secondary source. Our team manually switched back to the primary source after confirming its status had improved.
Around 10:00 PM CET: The primary source went down again. We switched to a tertiary backup source.
2:00 AM onwards: The tertiary backup source also experienced an outage. We switched back to the primary source.
10:00 AM CET (this morning): Services began stabilizing after returning to the primary source.
Current Status: Production remains under close monitoring as the primary source continues to show intermittent instability. We are investigating the underlying causes and implementing additional redundancy layers to prevent similar cascading failures. We apologize for the disruption and thank you for your patience.
